Hola amigos!
AJ and I arrived yesterday. The awning our youth paid for is complete! You wouldn't believe how excited everyone is to be able to have a place for not only shade, but a covering for when the rainy season hits. Now comes the fine tuning to build the cement floor, possibly add ceiling fans and yellow lights and I guess do the electrical for that part too! Good thing we'll have Rex and Mark to guide our youth in what needs to be done!
Once the rest of the group arrives on July 6th we'll also be painting the buildings and building a tool shed and other misc projects the first week! During church service today, our VBS was announced along with the free guitar lessons we'll be providing the hour before the VBS starting on Tues 13 JUL. Everyone is so excited to meet the rest of the group and to see Jackie and Robin again!!
Next will be promoting the VBS throughout the village along with purchasing and organizing supplies for once the rest of the group gets here.

PS yes, there are chickens running throughout the property
PSS we will also need to repair some of the fences. There was a hurricane which hit this past year and it knocked down some trees and also some of the attachments to the fence which we had repaired last summer. As I see more things, I'll keep you updated.
