Just wanted to thank the community of the United Methodist Church of Utah for the opportunity to serve with your incredible teenagers. In my estimation, each is taking away a sack of golden treasure they will be able to tap into for the rest of their lives.
Today we got an opportunity to visit the children's homes. Most live in situations we struggle to comprehend. Our God is great and generous. His name is I Am. I am compassion. I am love. I am peace. I am grace. I am generosity. He is also in the poverty, the struggles, and the parts of ourselves we hide, repress and deny. All are welcome at the table. A trip like this is a wonderful reminder of that.
